BrighterView Counseling’s Domestic Violence Program offers court-ordered DV classes for men and women, with in-person groups in Tucson and online groups for clients anywhere in Arizona. We serve clients referred by courts, probation, and the Arizona Department of Child Safety, as well as adults who choose to enroll on their own.

Our groups combine accountability with dignity. Clients build skills in emotional regulation, communication, and responsibility in a respectful, professional setting.

State-Approved DV Classes, Accepted Across Arizona

BrighterView Counseling is approved by the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) to provide misdemeanor domestic violence treatment. Courts throughout Arizona can refer clients to our program.

In addition to our statewide ADHS approval, we are an approved provider for:

Tucson City Court

Pima County Adult Probation

Pima County Superior Court

Pima County Justice Court

Pima County Consolidated Court

Check with your court first. Some courts keep their own provider lists or have additional requirements. Before you enroll, confirm with your court or probation officer that our program meets your order. If your court isn’t listed above, call us at (520) 800-8067 and we’ll help you find out.

How to Start Court-Ordered DV Classes

Starting the Domestic Violence Program follows four steps.

1. Request an Intake

Request your intake online or call (520) 800-8067. Intake can be completed in person or by telehealth.

2. Complete Pre-Intake

Complete your paperwork in our secure client portal. For a reduced fee, also submit the Income Verification Form.

3. Attend Intake

Your provider completes an assessment, reviews your referral, and confirms your group and number of sessions.

4. Begin Group

Attend your weekly group. Arriving more than 10 minutes late counts as a missed session and is charged.

How Many DV Classes Do I Need?

The number of group sessions you complete is set by your referral source, such as your court order or probation terms, or by your clinician’s recommendation at intake.

What Makes This Program Different

How we support meaningful, lasting change.

Structured Approach

A clearly defined structure from intake through completion. Each session is purposeful and consistent, keeping clients engaged and focused on progress.

Real Skill-Building

Clients do more than learn concepts. Each session builds practical skills in emotional regulation, communication, and healthy decision-making.

Built-In Accountability

Participation is expected in every session. Progress is measured by engagement, insight, and lasting behavior change, not by attendance alone.

Clinically Grounded

Cognitive-behavioral strategies, emotional regulation skills, and the stages of change work together to support meaningful, long-term outcomes.

DV Class FAQs

Can I take DV classes online in Arizona?
Yes. Our Men’s and Women’s Non-IPV groups meet by telehealth and are open to clients located anywhere in Arizona. Confirm with your court or probation officer that online classes meet your order.

Do you offer DV classes for women?
Yes. We offer a Women’s IPV group in person in Tucson and a Women’s Non-IPV group online.

Will my court accept your DV classes?
We are approved by the Arizona Department of Health Services to provide misdemeanor domestic violence treatment, and courts across Arizona can refer to our program. Some courts keep their own provider lists, so check with your court or probation officer before you enroll.

Are DV classes the same as anger management?
No. Domestic violence treatment is a separate, state-regulated program. If your court order specifies DV classes, an anger management course usually won’t satisfy it. Call us if you’re unsure which your order requires.

How soon can I start?
Request an intake as soon as you receive your order. Starting early gives you more time to complete your sessions before your court deadline.

For Referral Partners

Coordinating services with courts, attorneys, and community providers.

We collaborate with courts, probation, attorneys, and community providers to support coordinated care and consistent service delivery. Referral partners can submit referrals online and find program details on our Court & Probation Partners page.
